Izabela Fronczyk

Izabela, co-founder of Earth Trip (formerly known as The Earth Trip), began her path to becoming a tour operator while studying Environmental Management at university. A module called Responsible Tourism sparked an idea that changed the way she thought about holidays for good.
Sri Lanka was the natural first choice. Her partner’s family roots are there, and the couple had visited the island many times. Detailed research into the country’s tourism industry confirmed the decision.
On their research trip, Izabela asked the same question at every stop: “How do you contribute to local communities, and what do you do for the environment?” Around 90 percent of the places they visited were already committed to ethical and responsible tourism. Those that fell short of the standard were left out of Earth Trip’s offering.
Sri Lanka’s popularity has grown since the end of its long civil war, and it remains a core focus. Izabela travels there regularly to check out new hotels and discover the island’s more remote corners.
Since then, she has widened the portfolio to include Madagascar, the Maldives, the Seychelles, Mauritius, South Africa and Kenya. Every trip Earth Trip plans draws on first-hand experience. With visits to hundreds of hotels in each country, the team can offer tailored advice and share insider details that only a few others know.
Note: the brand name changed from “The Earth Trip” to “Earth Trip”, so I’ve used the new name throughout, with a single mention of the former one at the start.
