Day 1: Flight to Morocco: Where does your journey begin?

Your Moroccan Discovery will start in Marrakech! This vibrant city is the international gateway to Morocco, with direct flights from the UK and Europe running daily. Flight time ranges from 2-4 hours, depending on your start point, making it an easily accessible destination.

• Final Checks: Ensure your passport is valid for at least three months and that you have your vaccination records and travel insurance details ready for inspection upon arrival. We recommend exchanging money on arrival, as having some cash will be useful when exploring the beautiful markets and rural towns! No visa is required for those travelling from the UK for less than 90-days.

Marhba! Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you will be met by our representative and assisted through the airport before enjoying a private transfer to the hotel or riad.

The remainder of the day is kept light to allow time to rest after the journey. In the early evening, you may choose to experience their first taste of Marrakech by strolling through the legendary Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where storytellers, musicians and food stalls create a vibrant and unforgettable atmosphere.

Day 2: The Red City: What is there to see in Marrakech?

After breakfast, you will meet your licensed local guide for a full cultural discovery of Marrakech. The morning begins with a visit to the elegant Bahia Palace, followed by the atmospheric Saadian Tombs. You will then pass the Koutoubia Mosque (external visit) before continuing into the heart of the medina. Wandering through the labyrinth of souks, you will discover traditional crafts, artisan workshops and colourful markets, gaining insight into daily Moroccan life.

The afternoon is free for relaxation.

Day 3: Marrakech at leisure: What to do on your day off:

This day is intentionally unstructured to allow you to enjoy Marrakech at your own pace.

You may want to relax by the pool, indulge in a traditional hammam and massage, enjoy shopping, or simply sit in a café watching life pass by.

Optional experiences can be arranged such as a Moroccan cooking class, a food tour, or an excursion into the Atlas Mountains.

Day 4: Marrakech to Ouarzazate: A drive through the Atlas Mountains (3-4 hours by car)

Leaving Marrakech, your journey begins through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The changing landscapes are breathtaking. A visit is planned to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aït Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most iconic ksar, famous for its earthen architecture and film history. Continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara, you will check into their hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Day 5: Ouarzazate to Dades Valley: Where can you find oases in Morocco?

After breakfast, the journey continues toward the beautiful oasis of Skoura, with its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Along the way, you’ll experience a quieter, more authentic side of Morocco.

Day 6: Todra Gorges: Are there good hikes in Morocco?

Day 7: Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert: Where is the best place to stay to experience the Sahara Desert?

The landscapes gradually become more arid as the journey heads toward the Sahara. In the afternoon, arrival in Merzouga at the edge of the dunes. From here, you can either ride camels or travel by 4×4 across the golden sands as the sun begins to set. The experience of arriving at the desert camp at dusk is unforgettable. Dinner under the stars and traditional music around the campfire complete this magical evening.

Leaving the desert behind, the route heads north through changing scenery toward Midelt, a small town set between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. This stop breaks the journey comfortably and allows time to rest.

Today’s journey passes through cedar forests where Barbary macaques can often be seen, and through Ifrane, a charming town with alpine-style architecture often called “the Switzerland of Morocco”. Arrival in the historic city of Fès in the afternoon. Time to settle in and relax.

After breakfast, departure towards Tangier, a fascinating city shaped by centuries of cultural exchange between Africa and Europe. Upon arrival, enjoy a panoramic discovery including Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean, and a viewpoint overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar.

After check-in, the remainder of the day is free to stroll through the kasbah, explore the medina, or relax in one of Tangier’s elegant cafés overlooking the sea.

Day 17: Tangier to Casablanca: Where is the largest mosque in Morocco?

After breakfast, departure south towards Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital. Upon arrival, a visit is arranged to the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, dramatically built over the Atlantic Ocean.

You can then enjoy time along the Corniche, with the possibility to relax in a seaside café or restaurant. Casablanca offers a modern, cosmopolitan atmosphere that adds another dimension to the journey.

Day 18: Casablanca to Essaouira: Where is the ‘Windy City of Africa’

After breakfast, departure along the Atlantic coastline towards Essaouira. The journey offers changing scenery, moving from urban Morocco to a more relaxed coastal environment.

Arrival in Essaouira in the afternoon. You can enjoy a first discovery of this charming artistic town: its UNESCO-listed medina, fishing port, ramparts and white-and-blue architecture. The atmosphere is calm, creative and deeply relaxing.

Day 19: Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast, you can enjoy a final stroll through Essaouira’s medina and harbour before departing for Marrakech.

Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon and check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for relaxation, spa time, or last discoveries in the city. This stop in Marrakech allows the journey to slow down naturally before the desert experience in Agafay.

Day 20: Marrakech to Agafay Desert: Is Agafay Desert worth visiting?

Late morning, departure towards the Agafay Desert, located just outside Marrakech. The landscape changes quickly into a rocky, lunar environment offering spectacular views.

Upon arrival at the luxury camp, you’ll check in and enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by silence and open horizons. At sunset, the atmosphere becomes magical. A refined dinner is served under the stars, creating an intimate and memorable experience.

Day 21: Agafay to Marrakech: What is there to do in Agafay Desert?

A slow morning in Agafay allows time to enjoy breakfast with panoramic views and the unique tranquility of the desert. Optional activities such as camel ride, yoga or simply relaxing can be arranged.

Late morning, transfer back to Marrakech. The rest of the day is free for final shopping, relaxation or a farewell dinner in the city.

Day 22: Departure from Marrakech

Private transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport according to flight schedule, with assistance for departure formalities.
