-
Traditional Architecture: Built entirely from natural local materials—including rosewood, pepper wood, and satrana (palm) leaves—the bungalows blend seamlessly into the forest canopy.
-
Natural Cooling: Designed with high vaulted ceilings and open slats to allow the sea breeze to circulate naturally, the rooms do not require air conditioning.
-
Open-Air Bathrooms: Each bungalow includes a private bathroom with a shower that opens toward the greenery, providing a unique sense of freedom.
-
Terraces: Spacious private verandas equipped with hammocks or chairs serve as the perfect spot for bird watching or admiring the sunset.
Dining
The dining at Jardin Vanille is a communal and authentic affair, centered around the daily catch and seasonal island produce.
-
The Panoramic Restaurant: Meals are served in a large, open-sided thatched pavilion that offers 180-degree views of the lagoon and the coast of Nosy Be.

-
Rum & Conversation: The bar is famous for its wide selection of rhums arrangés (house-infused rums), making it a popular gathering spot for guests to share stories at the end of the day.

Earth Trip Opinion
Jardin Vanille is the ultimate escape for those who find traditional resorts too predictable. Life here follows the rhythm of the tides and the sun. There are no TVs, no air-con, and no cars—just the sounds of the forest and the sea. It’s a place to kick off your shoes and reconnect. While the walk up the hillside paths requires a basic level of fitness, the reward is an unparalleled sense of peace and a view that makes you feel like the only person on the island.
