Getting There

• By Private Car: Approximately 7 to 8 hours from Colombo. This is a long journey, so we often recommend breaking it up with a stop in Kandy or the Cultural Triangle.

• By Domestic Flight: Fly into Ampara Airport (GOY), followed by a 45-minute private transfer to the camp.

• Location Note: The resort is in a truly remote area; our Earth Trip chauffeurs are familiar with the terrain to ensure a safe and smooth arrival.

FAQ

• Is there any phone signal? No. Wild Glamping is a total “off-grid” experience with no mobile reception or Wi-Fi. It is the perfect place for a digital detox.

• Are there wild animals in the camp? The camp is unfenced and borders the wilderness. While it is very safe, you will likely see monkeys, deer, and diverse birdlife within the grounds.

• Is it too hot in the tents? The tents are designed for natural ventilation and feature high-powered fans. Because the camp is surrounded by trees and mountains, the temperature is generally very comfortable.

• Can we visit the Vedda village? Yes, the village of Rathugala is right on the doorstep. The hotel maintains a respectful and supportive relationship with the community, allowing for genuine, non-intrusive cultural exchanges.
