Mantadia Lodge is located in the hills of Andasibe offering a stunning panoramic view of the forest. In the morning you may be awakened by the singing of the Indri Indri, a kind a lemur that can only be found in the park of Andasibe.

Mantadia Lodge has 25 spacious bungalows, 10 of these are Twins and one is a Family Suite for 5 guests. Each comfortable bungalow is equipped with Wi-Fi, cable TV and a terrace that offers a wonderful panoramic view, an inside living room and a wood burning stove for the cooler season.

The restaurant offers a spectacular view and has a large terrace for a unique dining experience. The “raclette française” is available every day as well as surprise dishes. A snack menu is at your disposal between meals. For breakfast, a buffet will be served and a picnic can be provided for those on an excursion.

Your stay will be enhanced by a calm living room with a reading area and a bar. There is an infinity pool and two massage rooms at the spa. The Mantadia Lodge boutique offers two types of sweaters and shawls: cashmere and natural silk from Madagascar. Moreover you will find products and souvenirs made by local artisans: jewellery, decorative objects, honey, and wild pepper.

What is the difference between Andasibe and Mantadia National Parks? While they are part of the same complex, they offer different experiences. Andasibe (Analamazaotra) is famous for the Indri-Indri and is easier to navigate. Mantadia is more rugged and primary, offering a wilder trekking experience and the chance to see the Diademed Sifaka. Mantadia Lodge is perfectly positioned to help you explore both.

When is the best time to hear the Indri-Indri? The Indri are most vocal in the early morning, usually between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Their powerful, song-like calls can be heard from miles away. We recommend starting your forest walks early to catch them at their most active.

Is it cold in the rainforest? Because of the altitude and the dense forest, Andasibe can be significantly cooler and damper than the coast, especially at night. Mantadia Lodge provides heaters and fireplaces in the rooms, but we always recommend bringing a light waterproof jacket and warm layers for your evening meals and morning walks.
